Several Alkaline Diet Recipes

If you are interested in living a healthy lifestyle, then you may wish to start eating alkaline-forming foods. Preparing alkaline-rich dishes is easy. As a matter of fact, you may not know it, but you might be preparing alkaline dishes for your family all along.

To help you with the cooking and preparation, here are some alkaline diet recipes.

Recipe 1: SOUP

Fresh Garden Vegetable Soup


  • 1 small zucchini, chopped
  • 2 large carrots, chopped
  • 3 stalks of asparagus, chopped
  • 1 cup broccoli, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh basil
  • 1 quart water
  • 4-5 teaspoons vegetable broth
  • sea salt, to taste


  1. Place water, vegetable broth and onion in a medium-sized pot and bring to boil. Turn off the heat.
  2. Add the vegetables and fresh basil. Cover. Let the vegetables become slightly tender. Uncover.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool a little and place it in a blender. Mix until smooth and thick. Season with salt and serve warm.

Recipe 2: SALAD

Alkaline Italian Salad


  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, cut into salad-sized pieces
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 small stalk of leek, cut into strips
  • 4-6 black olives, halved
  • Some fresh basil leaves

Ingredients for the Dressing

  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. EVOO, cold pressed
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp. chopped fresh oregano
  • 1  tsp. chopped fresh basil
  • freshly-ground black pepper and sea salt, to taste


  1. Combine lettuce, bell pepper, tomatoes, leeks, olives, and basil leaves in a salad bowl. Cover and refrigerate for a few minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare the dressing by whisking all ingredients together with a wire whisk. You can also use a blender to emulsify the dressing.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad vegetables and toss lightly.

Recipe 3: MAIN DISH

Alkaline Ratatouille


5 tomatoes, thinly sliced
1 large zucchini, thinly sliced
1 large eggplant, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 big onion, sliced
2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. marjoram
3 tbsp. cold pressed EVOO
Sea salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
1 cup of spring  water


  1. Heat olive oil in a sauté pan. Cook onion and garlic for two minutes. Add zucchini, eggplant and bell peppers and stir-fry until soft (may take about 8 minutes).
  2. Add water, tomatoes and herbs, stir and simmer until the vegetables are tender according to your preference. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Recipe 4: DESSERT

Avocado and Soy Shake


1 cup almond milk
cubed meat of 2 avocados
Juice of 1 lime
1 pkg. Stevia
2 scoops of soy powder
1 crushed ice


  1. In a blender, combine all ingredients and mix until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately with chopped almonds and some strawberries on top.

Now that you have 4 recipes to complete a meal, you can start eating alkaline-forming dishes. Remember, preparing alkaline foods for the family is easy. Just take all your ingredients from the alkaline food list and you can never go wrong, no matter how you prepare the dish.
